Life isn't the spectacular now

Life isn't always spectacular and neither should we expect it to be, contrary to the highlight reel we see on social media of great places, experiences, food and culture experienced by others.

Life is usually filled with monotonous, routine activities and occasionally sprinkled with wow-somes and fireworks.

Life is often the few, rare incredible bits sandwiched between a lot of fluff. Just like this thin later of yummy peanut butter between two slices of fluffy steamed bread.

Life is not perfect either. It is often lots of setbacks and failures and the rare triumph and success.

Life is not a masterpiece - it is a rough mold in the making. It takes time to become something beautiful and usable.

Life isn't the spectacular now. Life is a journey. And journey takes time. Enjoy the journey. Yes, it takes time, so just enjoy it.
